Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information FootyCircle uses to run games, clubs, community features, payments, and optional football analytics.

Pre-release notice: this policy reflects the current FootyCircle beta design and will be reviewed before public launch.

Who is responsible

FootyCircle is currently operated by its founder in the United Kingdom. Formal controller details will be completed before public launch. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to raghavsubedii@gmail.com. A residential address is not published for safety.

Information we use

  • Account details such as email, phone number, display name, authentication identifiers, and age-18 confirmation.
  • Profile and optional location details used for nearby games, including city, postcode, home-area coordinates, position, biography, and avatar.
  • Games, attendance, clubs, polls, posts, comments, messages, reports, notification preferences, and moderation records.
  • Payment, wallet, refund, and transaction references. Full card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored by FootyCircle.
  • Optional activity and health information, including workout samples, distance, heart rate, GPS routes, session notes, and generated heatmaps.
  • Technical and security data such as device, request, error, and access records.
  • If you opt in, coarse first-party product events such as opening the app or completing an approved feature action. These events use pseudonymous references and a tightly limited set of categories rather than names, contact details, health or route data, messages, identity documents, record identifiers, card data, or payment details.

Why we use it

We use information to provide the service requested by you, secure accounts and payments, keep game and club records, moderate the community, respond to support, meet legal obligations, and—with your permission—process optional health or location data. We will document the final UK GDPR lawful-basis schedule before launch.

Providers and international processing

FootyCircle currently uses Vercel for web and API hosting, Supabase for authentication, Cloudflare R2 for private media and heatmap storage, Resend for email, Stripe for payments, Google Maps Platform on web and Android, and Apple MapKit on iOS. Optional fitness connections use Apple HealthKit or Android Health Connect. A managed PostgreSQL provider will store the main application records in production, but that provider has not yet been selected and must be named before launch. Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom; production regions, contracts, subprocessors, and transfer safeguards must be verified before launch. We do not sell personal information or use health information for advertising.

Optional product measurement

FootyCircle's first-party product measurement is off by default. If you enable it in Profile, approved coarse usage events are retained for no longer than 90 days. We do not use a third-party advertising or analytics SDK for this measurement. You can switch it off at any time; linked measurement history is then deleted immediately.

Retention

  • Account, profile, media, health, GPS, heatmap, message, and community content is erased or anonymised when an account is deleted, except where retention is necessary.
  • Optional product-measurement events expire after 90 days and are deleted immediately when consent is withdrawn or the account is deleted.
  • Financial and tax records may be anonymised and retained for up to six years where the law requires it.
  • Minimum safety and moderation evidence may be restricted and retained for up to 180 days where needed to protect users or establish legal claims.
  • Deleted production data may remain in protected, non-live backups for up to 30 days before rotation.

Your choices and rights

You can switch optional product measurement on or off in Profile, withdraw optional health and location access in device settings, update profile details, and request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection where applicable. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Contact us first if you would like help.

Adults only

FootyCircle is not intended for anyone under 18. Do not create an account if you are under 18. If we learn that an under-18 account exists, we will restrict it and erase the associated personal information where appropriate.
